General information
Specialist in bone marrow transplantation. Successfully performs bone marrow transplants for the treatment of aplastic anemia, and leads research to evaluate the effectiveness of stem cell transplants in various forms of leukemia. Member of the Association of hematologists of Turkey, the Turkish medical Association and the Association of therapists of Turkey.
Education and work experience
1967-1973 – studied at the faculty of medicine at the University of Istanbul.
1973-1979 – internship in internal medicine at the Istanbul University hospital.
1979-1983 – specialization and defense of a doctoral dissertation in Hematology.
1988 – the title of Professor of medicine.
Currently, he is a hematologist at the clinic, and also teaches at the University of Istanbul.
